On June 3rd, 2025, the County Executive Committee of the Montgomery County Republican Party of Texas has passed a bold and timely resolution:
“The traditional family is an essential and foundational element of western civilization and Christian society… [and] henceforth the month of June shall be designated as Family Month.”
We are deeply grateful to our Montgomery County GOP Precinct Chairs for standing firm and recognizing what Scripture has taught all along — that the family is not a social option but a sacred, God-ordained institution. This resolution isn’t just symbolic. It is a rally cry for fathers, mothers, and church leaders to reaffirm what matters most: building strong, godly families.
Here is the full text of the resolution, officially adopted at the Montgomery County Republican Party Executive Committee meeting on June 3, 2025, to influence and guide leaders across our county:
A Resolution to Designate June as Family Month
This resolution is duly passed and adopted by the County Executive Committee (CEC) of the Montgomery County Republican Party of Texas in support of declaring that June shall be designated as Family Month.
WHEREAS, the traditional family is an essential and foundational element of western civilization and Christian society; and
WHEREAS, the radical left has attempted for decades to undermine and distort the meaning and very nature of the traditional family structure and intent, up to and including elevating unnatural relationships and unbiblical covenants to replace traditional families; and
WHEREAS, it is incumbent upon Christians to proclaim the truth and to protect and defend western civilization and Christian society by honoring traditional families and celebrating their value and contributions to such;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Montgomery County Executive Committee declares that henceforth the month of June shall be designated as Family Month.
